My Journey as a Lab Technologist – 12 Years and Counting
Honestly, I didn’t choose this field… it just happened.
After my Plus Two, I was completely confused. In fact, there wasn’t even confusion—I simply had no idea what to do next. ????
Somehow, life led me into the field of Medical Laboratory Technology.
To be very honest, it took me almost a year just to understand what this course was really about.
But slowly, things started changing…
Today, when I look back, I feel proud.
This field has given me everything I have achieved in life—
* Dignity
* Financial stability
*  A sense of purpose
I still remember something my teacher said during my second year:
"I am not saying BSc MLT is the best course in the world, but it will give you enough in life—whatever you truly need."
At that time, it was just a statement…
But over the years, I have realized how true those words were.
As I continued my journey, I encountered countless patients, diseases, and real-life struggles.
Each sample wasn’t just a test—it was someone’s story, someone’s pain, someone’s hope.
These experiences didn’t just shape my career…
They shaped me as a person.
Now, as I complete 12 years as a Lab Technologist, I carry not just experience, but a deep respect for this profession.
A profession that often works silently behind the scenes, yet plays a crucial role in healthcare.
And today, I can proudly say—
Even if I didn’t choose this field,
This field truly chose me… and gave me a life I’m grateful for. ❤️
